Many a times i see we are just not content within our own working area. One of a professor from my university is the head of his department, head of Alumni Relations Office, head of literary society, faculty advisor of biggest technical fest our institute holds annually and few more smaller activities. And its not just about that single personality. As you look around we'll find many such examples say Navjot Sidhu getting into Television media despite being a politician or many cricketers getting into reality shows etc etc. Exploring new fields is matter of curiosity or knowledge upgradation but performing in more than one field at a time needs a good explanation. My question is, how many platforms do a person needs to improve on or to prove himself.

Just not enough
"Just Not Enough" is not about the money or facilities which we aspire for but about our work.

Myth of democracy
Democracy at root means a system where each and every person and his/her opinion matters and decisions are taken by consensus serving majority. But examples can be seen everywhere suggesting how easily its meaning can be manipulated. One can implement any policy just by raising a group in its favour (and you would agree that its not tough to raise a group of people for anything with small incentives in India). And the magic of illusion is such that every person feels his/her own importance leaving everything on time for improvement. I would say this system is still some what better at politics level (giving them atleast one reason to think about common people) but in our daily life, out of politics, it is creating an environment of dirty politics in every people organization.

Individualism Vs Groupism
Indian society values the unity and harmony among people. Quite obviously, after all a unit performs much better than individuals. We value them more with our acceptance and trust. And mostly an individual who likes to remain conservative in non-performance situation is less preferred than groups. But we forget that society comprise both individuals and groups. Many great things have been achieved by people like Albert Einstein, Sachin Tendulkar etc. who happens to be individuals. Many people want to remain as individual not because of their arrogance but its just that their human nature demands isolation. So we should be as open towards individuals as for groups and dont jump to conclusions while judging them.
Segregating Visionaries from Managers
Managers are everywhere !!!!
From multinational enterprises to as small groups as kid's class rooms, managers are the need of the hour and rightly so because they help to get the things done which ARE to be done. With effect of miraculous output caused by effective management, we are enriching them with more and more power and obviously more money which have lucarated many bright minds of world. More money comes with higher responsibilities which brings in whole lot of human factors into work. In all these human resource strategies we have integrated the role of visionaries and managers. We expect both from the same person but many times it becomes humanly impossible to justify both. It is the time when a manager part of the employee take over its visionary mind and he is more busy in optimizing the EXISTING resources/products rather discovering/inventing new counterparts. Thats when process gets staggered and though overall performance is on higher side but innovation is hindered.
